I was just coming here to post about one of their songs when I came across this shocking bit of info on their website:
Bass player Phil Joel has left the band to devote more time to family and personal goals. He finishes up with the band December 31st.
That kinda stinks but I can understand the need to devote time to family. Being a Newsboy has got to be a busy business. I didn’t realize he had been with them for 12.5 years. Best wishes, Phil!

Anyway, the song Something Beautiful is a “must hear”. I LOVE that song. You can hear it on their Myspace site, unless you’re like me and can’t get it to play. It’s there in their song queue anyway. Good thing Homer has the cd and I can play it repeatedly, especially while we’re driving. We’ve got a great stereo system in one of the vehicles and that song sounds GREAT. FINALLY! Something to counteract the vile filth that so many inconsiderate individuals blast so loud that it changes the heart rhythm of the average person.
