To the Beach!

Inspired by Carolyn, I decided to take the kids to the beach this afternoon. It took some doing to finally get there but we made it and Dub and the Little Guy had a great time. The Little Guy has a negative percentage of body fat, I think, and so he got cold in the water. I sat on the sand and took pictures of the kids and the birds while Homer just stood around. Poor Homer. He doesn’t enjoy the beach. Maybe someday we’ll buy an Olympic size pool for him, along with a plot of land big enough for it.

I don’t know if you’re aware of this but I think I’ll just mention that it is very difficult to take pictures of birds in flight while they’re actually moving. If they’d just hold still … !! It takes about 5,000 shots to get a good one. We didn’t take 5,000 between Homer and I so we didn’t get any good ones! Ha! Just kidding. We got a couple, including the header image. Homer got a couple of very good bird ones which he needs to crop and shrink before it gets posted.

I can’t wait for another nice beachworthy day!
