It is way to hot to go outside so I’m about to pull out my quilt and maybe add a few stitches. I started this quilt almost 13 years ago. I made great strides on it a few years ago with Homer’s help. We were attempting to finish it in time for MIL’s stem cell transplant and related hospitalization but, alas, she was never well enough for the transplant. Homer has said that he wants this quilt because he helped with it. I’d like for him to be able to use it in this lifetime.
On a related note, what is it about complicated projects that require a lot of effort and attention to detail and the chewing habits of dogs??? Poor Rocky. He was such a great dog except for that. *sigh*
I want to have a craft day at my house sometime. I enjoy sitting around working on crafts with other people. For once I don’t usually say much - I can’t craft and talk at the same time - but it is a lot of fun listening to everyone else. It’s always so nice and cozy. Not that 90 degree temps and cozy necessarily go together, but I could crank up the a/c and tell everyone to wear their favorite Christmas sweater. (Yeah, and I have that kind of cash to throw out the window!) It is always so much more enjoyable to work on, well, pretty much anything with friends, even if we’re working on separate projects, than working on things separately. The work seems to go much faster.
Here are a couple of cool quilt block patterns:
Apple Block (I love apples!)
Blurred Vision (interesting)
