How’s that for a snappy title?

Well, just two short weeks ago, I started baking like a crazy woman. I tried various allergen free-for-me recipes and many of them turned out great. I had thought we would be pulling serving size bags of cookies out of the freezer for a couple more weeks. So much for that. Between two Thanksgiving dinners, a house guest, a trip to Grandma’s to decorate cookies and general cookie snacking, they are all gone! I can not believe it!

I did leave a fairly substantial quantity of treats at my sister’s, though, come to think of it. And some of the baking went straight into the trash because I ruined it. Can’t forget that. |:-|

My mil and I pooled our ladies’ Christmas party thing stash of table decor and did a trial run of what our table might look like at the ladies’ Christmas party thing at church. It looked so pretty! I can’t wait to get the finishing touches on it. The scheme is snowflakes. We have red as an accent color and it looks so pretty. Mil got a cutting of a Scotch Pine to see how it would look and it was a very nice touch. :)

By the by, is it “Scotch” or “Scottish”? I have seen both in the same context.

Well, that’s about it for today. Did I mention we put our Christmas tree up? Yeah, it is up in the technical sense. *sigh* It was a dark and cold in the area we decided it would look best. I broke the stand, the lights don’t work, and, after my Woe Is Me session, we decided that the boys would finish attaching branches and that would be the end of it for a couple of days.

I haven’t taken many pictures that are possible to share, but I did get this picture of my nephew, Seven. (His designation is 7 of 7, tertiary adjunct of unimatrix Noojen. 10,000 blog points to the person who “gets” any of this. Seven

Isn’t he beautiful?  For a cat, that is.

No, I am not going soft. Dogs still rule. Seven is a nice kitty. At least his people seem to think he’s great, and there’s something to be said for a house that is free of mice and Decon.
