This blog is about the life and times of an eclectic homeschool family in pursuit of a lifestyle of learning, among other things.

Our goal is not to do “school-at-home” but to make every moment count in light of eternity, which, much to the chagrin of the Nicklebee children, does also include academics.

This is where we discover that the sun does not rise and set on a baseball diamond.

*Our apologies to anyone really named Nicklebee. Mrs. “Nicklebee” likes it because it’s nothing like our real name and it sounds so much more fun and … pseudonymnish. ;-)

I was homescholed all the way through high school. My mom never did “school-at-home,” which I’m very thankful for, because since she didn’t, I enjoyed high school. The most important thing I learned while being come schooled was simply how to learn.

I’m glad to hear you had a good experience in homeschooling, Kelsey.

Guess how much my blog was worth… $50

    Sad but true.

    LOL!

    Blessings!

That’s funny, Lacy, because I think mine has gone down substantially since I put that gadget on there!

I so enjoy stopping by your blog rarely when I have the time! So funny about the homeschooling word. It is how I usually do it and then I have had so many critics say it was home schooling (even my computer spell check) that I am confused and inconsistent! Thanks for clarifying. Made me giggle. I always appreciate your comments. Blessings and grace and giggles to you today!

PS Have you read or seen Nicholas Nickleby?
Presently on my son’s blog so that is why it came up as Eucharisto!

    Hi Sally!

I have the same spell check issue with “homeschooling”. I just ignore it! lol

No, I don’t think I have read N.N., though I have been meaning to. That question is why there’s such a huge gap between your comment and this one! Every time I think to look up N.N. to see if it’s what I’m thinking of, I’m doing something else and can’t get to it. I finally thought of it today while I had some actually free, clear-headed-thinking time! lol

Thanks for stopping by. It’s always nice to “see” you. :)
